Terms of Service

Last updated June 26, 2026. These terms describe the rules for using A Grand Story, including our iOS app.

Using the service

A Grand Story creates private stories from the kids, storytellers, topics, and voice recordings you supply. You must be an adult (18+) to set up the app, manage purchases, and add voices on behalf of your family.

Voice consent

You may only add a person's voice with their permission, and the app asks you to confirm that permission before recording. You are responsible for having the right to use any voice, name, or personal detail in a story. Do not use the service to impersonate anyone without consent. We do not create new voices for people who have died, including from voicemails, videos, home movies, or other recordings.

Family content

You keep ownership of the materials you submit. You grant us permission to process them so we can create, deliver, and support your private stories. Generated stories are for your family's personal, non-commercial use.

Acceptable use

You may not use A Grand Story to impersonate someone without consent, create harmful or illegal content, harass others, violate privacy rights, or attempt to access another family's private content.

Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

A Grand Story Family is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple's In-App Purchase at the amount shown in the app (currently US$18 per month; amounts may vary by region and are confirmed at purchase). Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel anytime in your device's App Store account settings; deleting the app does not cancel it. Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

App Store

The app is licensed, not sold, for use on Apple devices and is subject to Apple's standard licensed-application terms. Apple is not a party to these terms, is not responsible for the app or its content, and provides no warranty except, where applicable, a refund of the purchase price. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.

Availability

We work to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features, story volume, voice options, or delivery methods may change as the product evolves.

Disclaimers

A Grand Story is provided as-is. Stories are shaped for family listening, but parents and guardians remain responsible for deciding what is appropriate for their children.
